From the Marco Polo airport (VE) the old city centre of Venice can be reached in various ways:

By Car
It’s easy to get to Venice by car using the various motorway links (A4 from Trieste and Turin, A27 from Belluno, A13 from Bologna) and the ordinary State road connections (SS.309 Romea from the Adriatic coast, SS.14 from Trieste, SS.13 from Treviso, SS.11 from Padua).
Having reached the vicinity of the lagoon, take Ponte della Libertà which literally connects Venice to the mainland. The directions for Venice bring you to Piazzale Roma, which is the point closest to the city centre accessible by car.
